First Results: D2 (region with moraine, streams)

After some focused effort to move manuscripts out the door and present a keynote at a Chilean conference, I am now able to complete the preliminary analysis for the remaining two test areas.  This blog post focuses on D2, the central domain.  Remember there are three test domains were selected within the LiDAR extent (thick red outline) because of their diversity in topographic texture.  D2 is hilly with a well defined stream network.

Slope-Shaded LiDAR DEM(clipped, projected, ft->m, resampled to 4m)

--------------------------------------ASP_Bay Data-(3 versions!)---------------------------------------

Three different versions of the ASP_bay DEM data were available in the D2 domain.  I created clipped DEMs and difference maps for each of these.  It will allow comparison of two different time periods (Feb and Oct, snow differences.) and different sensors (world view 1 and 2).  Note, the reason why some of the images do not have full overlap with the LiDAR data is because their extent is limited.  I tried to select a location that provided at least partial coverage for as many datasets as possible.  The fact that the overlap is not perfect is accounted for in the histogram.  Edge effects (relatively minor) are not.
